Housing Stability

With the high cost of rent in the Bay Area and the rising wave of unemployment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many families are at risk of losing their housing right now. Although many towns, including Palo Alto, have passed eviction moratoriums, families have no means of overcoming the mounting rental debt that continues to grow because of a reduction in household income.

Thanks to generous gifts from donors, the Palo Alto Community Fund COVID-19 Relief Fund has deployed over $360,000 in grants to LifeMovesLive in PeaceCommunity Legal Services of East Palo AltoDreamCatchers and Family Giving Tree, who are all providing direct financial relief to local families facing the loss of housing.

PACF is committed to helping those in need in our community now and in the long term. Since the launch of the PACF COVID-19 Relief Fund we have granted over $1M to help our most vulnerable neighbors in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, and Menlo Park.
