
Annual Grants
In 2021, PACF distributed $825,000 in annual grants to local nonprofits that help families, uplift the vulnerable, improve education opportunities, and enhance community life. For over 40 years, our annual grant making process has focused on supporting the organizations that provide the network of support for our neighbors in Palo Alto, East Palo and Menlo Park.

Dave Mitchell Impact Grants
In 2020, PACF launched our inaugural Dave Mitchell Community Impact Grant in honor of the memory of longtime community supporter and philanthropist, Dave Mitchell. In 2021, PACF awarded $150,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations focused on youth mental health, housing insecurity, and vaccine & COVID-19 recovery.

Emergency Grants
PACF launched a COVID-19 Relief Fund in March 2020 to raise and deploy immediate financial resources to help the most vulnerable in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto and Menlo Park. Since April of 2020, PACF has awarded $1.27M in COVID-19 relief and recovery grants.

Cammie Vail Exec. Director Grants
In honor of our longtime executive director, Cammie Vail, these grants are made to local nonprofit organizations at the discretion of the PACF Executive Director. In fiscal year 2021, four nonprofit leaders were recognized for their leadership, with a focus on climate resilience.
