PACF Invests $1.5 Million to Target Urgent Needs and Strengthen Community
As needs across the region continue to grow, Palo Alto Community Fund (PACF) is investing $1.5 million in grants to 71 local organizations.
Made possible by the generosity of PACF donors, these investments respond to immediate challenges while strengthening the long-term resilience of the community.
“This is a moment for community,” says Irene Wong, CEO of PACF. “Our nonprofit partners are doing extraordinary work every day, and PACF is proud to bring people and resources together, providing momentum to help that work continue and grow.”
Targeting Urgent Needs
This year, PACF is focusing its Dave Mitchell Impact Grants on two critical areas: youth mental health and food security. Two commitments totaling $150,000 support organizations that are addressing urgent needs today while building pathways for lasting change.
allcove Palo Alto ($100,000), advancing an integrated, youth-centered model that provides a welcoming space where young people can access mental, physical, and social support on their own terms. Designed with, by, and for youth, allcove aims to reduce stigma, strengthen connection, and ensure young people can find the support they need to move forward and thrive.
Alta Housing ($50,000), expanding access to food for residents in affordable housing communities by bringing resources directly to where people live. Through increased distribution and delivery, this effort will reach more households, strengthen consistency of access, and build long-term capacity to support community well-being.
“These investments are about meeting real needs today while backing solutions that can strengthen our community for the long term,” Wong added.
PACF will continue to invite the community to learn, engage, and be part of a shared effort to come together around solutions in the months ahead.
Strengthening the Nonprofit Ecosystem
Alongside targeted grants, PACF is directing $1.35 million to organizations that power the community. These nonprofits expand opportunity, deliver essential services, and advance programming across the full range of what helps a community thrive, strengthening the foundation of a vibrant and resilient community.
Together, these investments reflect PACF’s commitment to both addressing immediate challenges and reinforcing the network of organizations that underpin a strong and connected community.
Meet the 2026 Grantees
Seventy-one organizations make up PACF’s 2026 grant cohort, representing a wide range of work across our community. Together, they reflect both the diversity of local needs and the strength of the organizations responding to them.
This year, we welcome eight first-time grantees, expanding PACF’s reach and deepening our commitment to a more inclusive community.
