Southern California Fire Support
Helping our Neighbors Affected by Climate Disaster
Like so many, we have been following the news out of Southern California and sharing in the heartbreak of all those affected and displaced. In disasters of this scale, it can be hard to know the best way to support those in need. While PACF is not currently fundraising for the Palisades and Eaton fire victims, we are directing people to local organizations and trusted community foundations and funds. These organizations are closer to the impacted areas, with the on-the-ground knowledge and networks needed to provide the most effective support. Here is a short list of ways you may be able to provide aid:
Support Organizations Providing Aid
- California Community Foundation Wildlife Recovery Fund: providing grants to local nonprofit organizations, ensuring that resources reach those most in need.
- United Way LA: working with community partners to assess the impact on the ground and support long-term recovery efforts.
- World Central Kitchen: providing meals and clean drinking water across the region.
- Direct Relief: responding to unprecedented wildfires in and around Los Angeles.
- Pasadena Humane Society: supporting and providing medical aid to over 1,000 animals from the Eaton Fire.
- Win With Black Women: Partnering with GoFundMe.org to support the disbursement of grants for 2025 Wildfire Relief.
