The San Mateo County Parks Foundation inspires people to care for, learn about and enjoy San Mateo County Parks, a system of 24 parks, historic sites, beaches, and regional trails that encompass 17,000 acres and nearly 200 miles of trails. These parks and trails are enjoyed by some 2.3 million visitors annually. As the "friends of" group to the County Parks Department, we mobilize community support for recreation, environment, and education programs and projects within the parks.
